Quiet against Austria
Almada regstered one chance created and three tackles (two won) in Monday's 2-0 win against Austria.
Analysis: Almada started again on the left flank for Argentina but was once again pretty quiet, only recording one chance created in the attacking third. This is despite over an hour on the field, now with one shot, a chance created and zero crosses in his two starts. That said, his rough start to the World Cup could open up more time for Nicolas Gonzalez.

Almada recorded one shot (zero on goal) in Tuesday's 3-0 win over Algeria.
Analysis: Almada was a creative presence on the left wing, but the Atletico Madrid playmaker didn't do much outside of taking a shot from long range that went wide in the first half. It's unclear whether Almada will remain in the XI in the next game against Austria on Monday, June 22, as Nicolas Gonzalez looked much better off the bench and was credited with an assist. Even if he stays in the XI, Almada is not a focal point on offense for Argentina and should have secondary upside only.
