Analysis: Ito was starting in the defense for Japan once again Thursday, his third straight game playing all 90 minutes. He would see a decent match on both ends of the field, recording a chance created and three crosses in the attack to go along with one tackle won and four clearances in the defense. He is set to be a for sure starter in the knockout stages

Analysis: Ito was given the start Saturday and played the full 90, doing so twice in two games this tournament. He would see some decent work in the defense, earning a clean sheet in the process. He should remain a starter for the group stage finale, as he is one of their better defenders.
